Railway siding at Kopri in Thane near Mumbai in India

A visit to the eastern creek side of Thane railway station on June 8, 2007, at a place called Kopri revealed an old railway siding of the Great Indian Peninsula Railway. The end-point of the tracks is clearly visible buried under a road divider.

An old wooden cargo shed with remains of old iron weighing scale is also seen with cobblestone flooring. The place today is a small promenade, where children play cricket and the land in possession of the Maritime Board of India.
